Transformers: The Last Knight has amassed a total of $69.1 million in its opening week in the US, including $15.6 million on its opening day, which is a franchise low.

In a comparison of the amount made on its opening day, Transformers (2007) took in a total of £36.6 million, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) took $62 million, Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) took $43.2 million, and Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) took $41.8 million.

Transformers: The Last Knight has been met with mostly unfavourable reviews, amassing only 15% on movie review website Rotten Tomatoes, with the critical consensus being:

“Cacophonous, thinly plotted, and boasting state-of-the-art special effects, The Last Knight is pretty much what you’d expect from the fifth installment of the Transformers franchise.”
