After a rocky season, and a paramount amount of pressure on Arsene Wenger to quit, the Gunners have turned things around by completing a stunning victory over a weakened Chelsea team.

Arsenal came out fighting instantly, with Alexis Sanchez scoring the first goal (4′), after  the referee overruled the offside decision. There would be no letting up from there, but in the 76th minute, Diego Costa conjured feelings of a fight back with a goal which the Arsenal keeper failed to deflect. However, the Gunners were set on victory, and in the 79th minute, Olivier Giroud’s cross set up a header for Aaron Ramsey, who scored the final goal of the night and sealed victory for Arsenal.

With this stunning victory, Arsenal claim their 13th FA Cup title, and 7th with Wenger as their manager, making him the most successful manager in the FA Cup’s history. This will be a victory to savour for their fans, as the Gunners missed out on a Champions League place for the first time in 20 years.
