The Sun newspaper, who infamously reported on the Hillsborough disaster and blamed the fans – rather than police – have been banned from Liverpool FC grounds after a capaign against the newspaper from a group named ‘The Total Eclipse Of The S*n’, who, after talking to Liverpool FC directors, posted this message on their Twitter page:

After the infamous report, and despite issuing an apology on the front cover, The Sun newspaper has been widely criticised, with people shops in Liverpool refusing to stock the newspaper after The Total Eclipse Of The S*n receiving the backing of the council – who voted unanamously to uphold the request.

The Sun said the ban was “bad for fans and bad for football”, as their journalists will no longer be able onto the grounds to report on conferences or actual football matches.
